We will not be doing spelling or a new reading story this week.

The turkeys are due this Wednesday, November 16.  I have already received a few.  They look awesome!  I hope that your family enjoys working on this special project together!

Report cards were sent home on Tuesday, November 1.  The report card is yours to keep. Please sign the envelope and return it to school as soon as possible.

I introduced the students to Spelling City today!  Go to www.spellingcity.com.

You should study using this great teaching resource.  Vocabulary Spelling City makes learning your word lists fun and easy!

Students will take a spelling test on Friday, November 4.

The primer word list has been sent home.  Please study those words in addition to any preprimer words that your child has not already mastered.  Thanks, in advance, for you help!

November book-it forms will be sent home November 1.  The goal is to read 10 books during the month of November.  Please plan to spend some quality time reading with your son/daughter.

Congratulations to the students who earned their Pizza Hut certificates for the month of October!

We will be doing some Fall/Halloween activities on Friday, October 28.  Students do not need to wear/bring a costume.  They may bring a treat to share with the class!

Students will not receive a new spelling list Monday, October 24.  It will be a review/assessment week.

Thank you for all of the great snack contributions!  Our snack time is over, but we will continue to have juice for the 2nd quarter.  As always, if you would like to send snacks for a special occasion, you are welcome to contact me and set up a time to do so!
